Hope Park

This public space was designed for the Wells Community Academy High School and the East Village community. The project features multiple programs and event types designed as one community space to draw public attention and activity. The high school occupies the site through a turf soccer and football field equipped with bleacher seating and a press box or pavilion. This arrangement has been strategically interwoven with community programs that occupy the site, which include a public walkway, plaza, dog park, and submerged parking lot. This gesture of consolidation and event overlap was designed as the most efficient and effective model to blend programmatic relationships and usage between the school and community.
