Aaron Spiering
Aaron believes that architecture, when deployed creatively, is one of the most powerful tools available to remake the world as an artifact of our desires, ethics, and ideologies. This belief requires architects to understand the endemic needs of each project, but also to have an awareness of their own agenda. Before becoming an architect, he worked as a specialist furniture maker at The Field Museum where he explored his interest in the tactile side of design. Aaron has always had a fascination with the way things are put together. His ability to take designs from concept to reality has led to a role on projects as diverse as the Taiwan Pavillion at the 2014 Venice Biennale to a 300-unit residential project constructed from mass timber. Aaron is now a Principal and critical member of JGMA’s design team.
