Ryan Chester

Ryan Chester, AIA is a senior project architect at Juan Gabriel Moreno Architects. Ryan studied architecture at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee and having received his master’s degree in architecture in 2005 and went on to practice architecture in New York and London before returning to the Midwest in 2011.

Ryan brings a creative spirit with a passion for graphic representation through hand drawing. He works to design, oversee and manage projects through the planning and construction phases. His work experience includes a wide range of local and international project types including science and technology, K-12 schools, multi-family residential, corporate office core and shell and athletic facilities.

His ability to communicate graphically through sketch form allow him to generate ideas quickly and encourages others to do the same. Ryan is currently an architecture professor at UWM and SAIC. Additionally, Ryan is involved with the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) as a guest reviewer of undergraduate design work and has also been involved with the Chicago Architecture Center (CAC) in promoting their Chicago River Cruise Tours. He is the author of Chicago Reflective: A Skyline Drawing from the Chicago River.
