Zia George

Zia George grew up in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan, and expanded her horizons through living in Chicago, and studying abroad in Copenhagen. Her unique experiences shape her architectural approach. As a Project Designer, Zia believes in emphasizing the importance of uplifting communities of color through sustainable and aesthetically enriching designs.

Zia’s commitment to these values was evident during her journey as President of the UIC NOMAS Chapter, where she championed the benefits of architecture to students of color. Her leadership and dedication were recognized when she received the Alpha Rho Chi Medal upon completing her studies.

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago, with a minor in Black Studies. Her passions extend to interior and fashion design, and she aspires to one day design her own boutique.
