Pace Transfer Station

The PACE Transfer Station located at Toyota Park in Bridgeview, IL serves PACE bus lines and includes an enclosed waiting area for passengers as well as a restroom for bus drivers. The project manifests itself as a 275′ canopy that gestures toward the stadium and becomes a portal to the park as it directs pedestrian circulation from the street. Acting as passive signage for the Chicago Fire, the exterior surface of the canopy is skinned with a red stainless-steel panel. Conversely the interior surface is cladded with a natural stainless-steel panel.
